Back from Leeds Festival; all in one piece
Had a great time playing at the jack daniels stage throughout the weekend. I think it was five sets in all that I played from Friday to Sunday, a rainy start to the festival meant the mud kept us company for the rest of it..all great fun though next time i need to be a bit more prepared camping wise..2 am on the first night of the festival when it’s raining and really cold is not the best time to get back to your tent and realise you didnt bring a sleeping bag. ouch. it’s was cold man!!!!
Luckyly for me the hosts at Jack Daniels were amazing hosts and very kind to me and all the other musicians playing so a bit of old number 7 helped to keep me warm for the rest of the festival. I got a chance to road test a few new songs and one in particular called “everyday hurts” .. which is actually alot more positive than it sounds
went down really well and i’m looking forward to recording it very soon so i can let you all hear it.
Got a chance to see some amazing bands as well , The Fanclub whom I
shared the bill , you should go listen to them!! Seasick Steve playing along side John Paul Jones..that was pretty amazing…watching Julian Casablanacas call out for Macchu Picchu..-song of the weekend!- was hilarious just ’cause of how clearly off his rocket he was and Ritzy from the Joy Formidable shouting “come on you fuckers!!” to the crowd was pretty excellent, good on her.
So that was a little round up of my weekend playing at Leeds; was great fun and looking forward to hopefully being there next year as well..but staying in tour bus not a tent
Special thank you Mr @DBHorrigan for the awesomness. ( Keep on Chopping.)
